Passing:
- Basic skill- must be done correctly to be of consequence
- Fundamental part of the game
- Use the inside of the foot
- Plant foot should not be more than 3-4 inches away from the ball
- Plant foot should point to the direction of the pass
- Follow through the middle of the ball
- Do not use the bottom of the foot to take a first touch
- Take a first touch in a direction- away from an opponent
- Use all parts of the foot to take a touch
- Use both feet
- Teach proper technique and have players practice constantly
- Know the level of players- younger or less skilled players may need more time to develop the necessary skills
